Torture--hot on the frontburner of foreheads

and it is getting weird. The U.S.A is justifying torture--in many circles--and the O administration will be implicitly condoning torture should they not pursure investigations. The evidence is there--Bush Co. used techniques the Special OPs and pilots had to train through to prevent giving up information during torture. So..they were tortured and some have given their experiences with this SERS program-not pretty. We then implemented that program itself to Iraq, GTMO and Afghanistan. Cheney is out defending himself, Condi and the mad emperor himself, Bush, are quiet.

The lunatics trying to spin torture this week are showing their complete lack of morality. As Sen. Minority leader,Repub Boehner said (slipped) today, "torture techniques" forgetting the Orwellian double speak phrase, "enhanched interrogation techniques."

Things are getting surreal...
In this piece, the facts contradict Rove and party hitting the airwaves saying torture prevented a 9/11 style West Coast attack...

February, 2006, President Bush recounted the foiling of the west coast plot (emphasis added):
Their plot was derailed in early 2002 when a Southeast Asian nation arrested a key al Qaeda operative. Subsequent debriefings and other intelligence operations made clear the intended target, and how al Qaeda hoped to execute it.
So in President Bush's own words, intelligence officials did not know what they had prevented until after they prevented it. (And even that assumes that KSM was telling them the truth.)
Even though they managed to thwart the attack without using torture, they resorted to torture to discover what they had thwarted -- and only the most sadistic advocates would consider that a reasonable justification for torture.
